New service at TUM.University Press

In addition to monographs and anthologies, scientific journals can now also be published at TUM.University Press. In our new editorial program TUM.UP-JOURNALS, we support researchers in the launch and management of scientific journals. We provide support through hosting, initial setup of the publishing software Open Journal Systems (OJS), editorial consulting, increasing visibility, and trainings. Specifically, this means, for example, that we provide design templates for articles, advise on what needs to be taken into account when setting up a new journal, or handle the application for admission to the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

In order to use our services, a journal must fulfill a few criteria: It must be located within the TUM's subject portfolio and a TUM professor must function as the main editor. In addition, it is particularly important for us that we only publish pure Diamond Open Access journals, i.e. neither readers nor publishers may be charged. In this way, we would like to make a contribution to strengthening science-led publishing.
